DescriptionDNVs Energy Systems USA group is seeking an Energy Engineer to support energy efficiency demand response clean energy and transportation electrification programs. This position is designated to support major customer accounts review energy efficiency and clean energy models and applications conduct energy audits perform project inspections provide customer education manage projects perform community outreach and develop energy efficiency contract proposals.
This role is based at our DNV office in Las Vegas NV presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either aDNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.
What Youll Do
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the programs strategic direction regarding energy efficiency and the business activities of its customers
- Work with building owners property managers and or contractors to provide energy efficiency advice and assistance in participating in energy efficiency programs
- Conduct facility walk-throughs to identify energy efficiency opportunities and generate a corresponding summary report
- Conduct community outreach including program presentations to inform customers and contractors of energy efficiency incentive offerings
- Review and verify technical merits of business customer energy efficiency applications including calculation of energy savings and verification of equipment specifications
- Review energy models submitted as part of energy efficiency applications to evaluate baseline assumptions and design impacts
- Perform customer site inspections to verify the installation of energy efficient equipment at utility commercial and industrial businesses
- Develop and/or evaluate request for proposals to support energy efficiency projects
- Project management support
- Database management support
- Weekly monthly and annual reporting

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering or similar discipline is required
- Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in the energy efficiency field
- Experience with energy modeling applications eQuest and/or Energy Plus
- Intermediate level in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint
- An understanding of key application specific analytical tools including but not limited to data filtering sorting and pivot tables
- Technical writing experience
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb up/down a ladder
- Proactively seeks to identify real customer needs and manages customer expectations accordingly
- A demonstrated positive collaborative and team-oriented attitude
- Excellent English communication (both verbal and written) skills focus on customer service organization and grammar
- Must have a valid U.S. Drivers License and reliable transportation
