Job Description
Summary:
- Perform General Maintenance inside and outside the physical plant.
Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:
- Performs various maintenance tasks such as electrical carpentry plumbing etc.
- Performs general labor inside and outside the physical plant including district-widegrounds keeping handling materials and supplies moving equipment operating power-driven equipment truck driving snow plowing roofing mowing etc.
- maintains all safety and code requirements of the state local and Board of Education guidelines.
- Watches for potentialsafety hazards and reports same to supervisor
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma orHigher.
- Construction Experience Preferred
certificates Licenses Registrations:
- Valid drivers license with a good driving record.
- CDL preferred
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee isoften required to stand walk; use hands to fingers handle or feel objects tools or controls; and talk or hear.
- The employee is often required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Frequently must squat stoopor kneel reach above the head and reach forward.
- The employee continuously uses handstrength to grasp tools andclimb ladders.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds such as a toolbox. Occasionally the employee must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds such as piping and motors.
- The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as table scaffolds and air compressors.
- Specific visionabilities required by this job include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
