Summary:Forest Electric NJ seeks an Electrical Estimator with experience in electrical power and lighting systems medium voltage substation and distribution pharmaceuticals hospitals and/or data centers to assist the company in its Edison NJ location in meeting its goals and objectives. They may also assist project management as it relates to certain projects and will partner with other employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- The Electrical Estimator is responsible for producing estimates and proposals for electrical power and lighting systems
- Take an active part in preparing quantity take-offs
- Prepare detailed estimates including assigning material and labor values to take-offs
- Acquire vendor pricing on specialty materials equipment and systems
- Assist with subcontractor and vendor scope and pricing review
- Actively participate and coordinate in project kick-off and turn-over meetings
- While performing the duties of this job the employee may be occasionally required to commute to field locations
- Regular predictable and reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of the job
Qualifications

Position Requirements
- Five (5) years experience with a commercial electrical contractor and/or in estimating electrical construction projects
- Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited College or University preferred
- Demonstrated experience in electrical power and lighting preferably with medium voltage substation and distribution pharmaceuticals hospitals and/or data centers
- Must demonstrate ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects and work with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of ConEst estimating software is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills

Work Environment
While visiting job site locations the employee may be required to work outdoors be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical and electrical parts; high precarious places; dust fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions extended exposure to sunlight; cold and heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. PPE will be provided.

Compensation Range: $75000 - $110000
Other Compensation: Position is bonus eligible.
