Job Description:

The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFA) is actively seeking a detail-oriented individual to join the team as a Student Financial Aid Coordinator II of Special Programs. In this role youll manage the Study Abroad and Transient enrollment processes. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills strong analytical and organizational skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Transient Student Program Coordination

  • Manage the Study Abroad and Florida Virtual Campus processes.
  • Develop coordinate and process all aspects related to reviewing and approving or referring study abroad and transient student financial aid.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot processes and system output for study abroad and transient student financial aid.
  • Review accuracy and provide data entry for Professional Judgment Dependency Override and Unaccompanied Homeless Youth petition results.
  • Assist with updates to policies and processes regarding study abroad and transient enrollment to ensure compliance with current guidelines and regulations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor including taking the lead on special projects as necessary.
  • Occasional travel for financial aid presentations and professional development workshops.

This position is located at the University of Floridas main campus in Gainesville FL. The selected candidate will work on site and may be eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Managements policies.

Expected Salary:

$47500 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in student financial aid administration.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory framework governing financial aid programs.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal organizational and communication skills emphasizing attention to detail.
