Job Description
Job Title: Mental Health Coordinator - California City CA
Location: California City CA
Schedule: 2nd shift 8-hour shifts including weekdays and weekends
Start Date: Within 2 weeks
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possibility to extend)
Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
Weekly Gross: $2875
Job Overview:
We are hiring a licensed Mental Health Coordinator for a full-time contract role in a correctional setting in California City CA. This role involves delivering clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature to an incarcerated population. Applicants must be comfortable working in secure environments and have flexible scheduling availability.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct mental health assessments and screenings through interviews and record reviews
- Develop implement and revise individualized treatment plans
- Provide crisis intervention counseling and therapeutic support
- Maintain accurate documentation of all evaluations and treatments
- Uphold strict confidentiality standards at all times
- Utilize evidence-based counseling theories and practices appropriate to the population
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Social Work Psychology Mental Health Counseling or related clinical field
- Active unrestricted LCSW LPC or LMFT license in California
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience including at least 2 years in a similar role
- Must be at least 18 years old
- U.S. Citizenship required for ICE clearance (expedited process available)
- ICE Clearance Screening Form must be submitted
- Must reside at least 70 miles away from the facility
- Must be able to start within 2 weeks
- Must have open availability including weekends and holidays
- No RTO (Requested Time Off) permitted during the contract period
Preferred:
- Experience working in correctional or forensic settings
- Valid drivers license (preferred unless otherwise required)
- Active AHA BLS certification
