Job Title: Psychologist - Natchez MS
Location: Natchez MS
Schedule: Day shift 5x8-hour shifts weekly
Start Date: Within 2 weeks
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possibility to extend)
Guaranteed Hours: 36-40/week
Weekly Gross: $4730
Job Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Psychologist for a full-time contract assignment in a correctional facility in Natchez MS. This role involves providing comprehensive mental health services to an incarcerated population and requires comfort in secure environments.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological screenings assessments and clinical interviews with inmates
- Collaborate with psychiatrists nurses social workers and other clinical staff
- Develop implement and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Provide mental health counseling crisis intervention and behavior management support
- Monitor and assess mental health status in segregated housing units
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and behavioral reviews
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
- Active unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state where practice occurs
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience (including 1 year in a similar setting)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid drivers license
- Must reside 70 miles away from the facility
- Must be able to start within 2 weeks
- No RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed during assignment
- Must have open availability including weekends and holidays
- ICE clearance required (U.S. citizenship mandatory); not required for submittal but must be obtained before start (can take 60 days)
Preferred:
- Experience in correctional or forensic environments
- Active AHA BLS certification
