JOB TITLE:

Data Assistant (Work Study)

JOB PURPOSE:

Help with biological research and data management

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data entry filing sorting aquatic invertebrates processing pollinators labeling and organizing specimens and other duties associated with research and data management for species and vegetation communities of conservation concern in Wyoming. Multiple positions will be in a lab that includes sorting aquatic insects pinning pollinators and other invertebrate related research. For these positions there may be an opportunity for summer employment as a biological technician. Other positions may be focused on data entry and assisting with clean-out of the element manual files and converting to digital EMF system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: No experience necessary just a willingness to work and attention to detail

Must be eligible have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

An interest in wildlife aquatic ecosystems botany and/or vegetation communities. All majors and backgrounds welcome.
