Job Description
TITLE OF VACANCY: Special Education Resource Teacher
DATE: July 8 2025
LOCATION OF POSITION: Springfield Ball Charter School 2530 East Ash Street Springfield IL 62703
START DATE: August 7 2025
HOURS PER DAY: 8

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 K-8 endorsement
Prefer K-8 Experience to meet the needs of students various learning styles
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Work under the direction of the principal and assistant principal.
Work collaboratively with staff to implement students IEP goals
Provide instruction as determined by the students Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Participate in the development of comprehensive Individual Education Plans for identified students including
behavior intervention plans.
Provide consultation technical assistance and training to teachers and families of students experiencing learning
or behavior problems.
Take responsibility for implementation of IEPs for students on assigned case load.
Implement progress monitoring and data collection as determined through IEP.
Provide information to families regarding student progress and strategies that can be used at home to support the
students progress and growth.
Communicate effectively with students parents the public and staff.
Other duties as assigned.
