Responsibilities
Located at Community Regional home to the only Level I Trauma Center and comprehensive burn center between Los Angeles and Sacramento our ED is Californias third busiest. This high-acuity 156-bed unit sees over 350 patients daily and is staffed by more than 500 clinical and support team members. As part of the hospitals safety-net mission the ED serves a five-county area with a wide range of urgent and complex care needs. As a UCSF academic-affiliated facility Community Regional also offers opportunities to collaborate on cutting-edge care models and clinical education. In this role youll work alongside three dedicated managers and a highly engaged physician team to lead one of the most critical departments within the regions largest healthcare system.
- Direct the daily operations strategic planning and clinical services of the Emergency Department in alignment with system goals and standards.
- Cultivate a high-performing team culture by fostering collaboration professional development and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders including EMS trauma services physician leadership and community agencies.
- Oversee department budget compliance resource utilization and performance improvement to ensure financial and operational excellence.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for Bachelors Degree
- 5 years of clinical experience in the Emergency Services setting required
- 2 years of management experience required
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center required
- Experience with Medical Education programs required
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
