Job Description
Job Title: Site Layout Assistant
Department: Quality
Reports to: QA/QC
Director Effective Date: 07/03/2025
Job Summary:
Site Layout provides general oversight inspections and quality control measures implemented by Cobalt and the respective customer for all aspects of a construction project. Site Layout provides the experience and ability to identify and implement a high standard of project execution and completeness of deliverables to represent Cobalts work in order to meet and/or exceed acceptable industry standards resulting in a quality product for our client(s).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Jobsite layout with robotic total station
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-disciplined and self-driven
- Thorough knowledge of site and personnel safety methods of construction activities including personal protective equipment (PPE) and construction equipment safety operations
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Valid Drivers License
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- The Physical Requirements of this position include bending driving stakes in the ground hauling equipment working in outdoor elements and other tasks.
