educational experience for al students.
1.0 GENERAL KNOWLEDGE BASE
Knowledge Of:

3.0 PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Tutors individuals or smal groups of students reinforcing andimplementing instructionas directedby the teacher.
3.2 Participates as a member of an instructional team; develops appropriate relationships withteam members parents andstudents.
3.3 Prepares and organizes lessons as directedby the teacher.
3.4 Monitors andreports behavior of students accordingto approvedprocedures.
3.5 Performs routine clerical duties suchas preparationof instructional and classroommaterials; operates copy machines; maintains classroom records; maintains at endancerecords.
3.6 Provides support to the teacherby set ing up workareas displays and exhibits operatingaudiovisual equipment operatingeducational training equipment and distributingandcollectingpaper and supplies.
3.7 Assists inoverseeing students while inactivities; provides forsupplies as necessary.
3.8 Assists students insuchphysical tasks as put ingon and taking off outer wear moving
from room to room using the lavatory; assists students in get ing onandoff the bus.
3.9 Assists students by providing properexamples emotional support a friendly at itude and
general guidance.
3.10 Confers as needed withteachers concerning programs andmaterials to meet student needs.
3.11 Contacts parents of students who are absent.
3.12 Assures the healthand safety of students by fol owinghealthpractices and regulations.
3.13 Directs group activities of students as assigned; assist inmonitoringlunchroom and
playground activities as assigned; assists inemergency dril s assemblies play periods
andfield trips.
3.14 Participates in meetings and training programs as assigned.
3.15 Assists certifiedpersons inimplementing al policies andregulations governingstudentconduct for the classroom and relatedschool activities.3.16 Acts in accordance with the policies as set forthby the Ohio County Board of Education KRS KAR and applicable Federal laws and regulations.
3.17 Performs otherduties that may no be specifical y coveredinthis general job descriptionas assignedby the supervisingteacher and/orprincipal.
