Job Description

Adjunct Faculty Health System and Administration

School of Health Sciences

St. Edwards University a nationally ranked independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) invites applications for a part time adjunct faculty position in the School of Health Sciences beginning August 2025. The successful candidate will teach courses in the Health System and Administration degree (HSAD) program (Current Issues in Healthcare and Internship). Adjunct positions are renewable contingent upon need and performance. As appropriate to individual contracts faculty will be expected to be involved in service to the university the community and the profession.

For consideration we are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • For consideration a candidate must have an undergraduate or graduate degree in the health professions. Healthcare professionals (OTD DPT MPA MSN) are encouraged to apply. Teaching experience is preferred.

Essential Responsibilities Include: Candidates should have the interest and ability or potential to teach various undergraduate courses and support a diverse student body.

  • Delivery of course content to align with the Health Systems and Administration program requirements.
  • Collaborate with health sciences faculty for alignment of student learning.
  • Collaborate with the instructional design team for course material development.
  • Maintains subject specific competency and knowledge
  • Help the students to acquire appropriate knowledge skills and attitudes required

of healthcare professionals.

  • Maintains grade record for all assigned students.
  • Maintains student information in a confidential manner.
