The Amazon Foundational People Data Services (FPDS) team is building solutions to enable employees and managers to self-serve changes across all human resource processes.
Join us in building an innovative technology using Amazon Web Services to meet the complex and unique demands of managing nearlyemployees globally. We dive deep to insist on the highest standards in architecture coding testing deploying and maintaining every aspect of our offerings.

We are looking for scale-focused and customer-obsessed developers with strong computer science fundamentals including full stack development data structures object-oriented design algorithm design problem solving and innovate in latest trends like application of LLM into our services.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable software solutions
- Write high-quality maintainable code following best practices
- Create detailed technical specifications for complex features
- Drive technical decisions within the team
- Participate in architectural decisions with Senior and Principle Engineers
- Operational Excellence: Participate in on-call rotations troubleshoot and resolve production issues identify and implement operational improvements
- Collaborate effectively with product managers to refine requirements and other engineering teams on dependencies
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
