Key Role Details
Full-time new hires for this role will start as a cohort in a rotational program in August 2026.
This role is a full-time associate position within a two-year rotational program designed as a career accelerator to foster the next generation of leading talent.
Rotations occur at the one-year mark and allow for hands-on experience in two distinct roles.
Associates who participate in this program may choose to remain in their final role placement upon completion of the program or explore other opportunities at Capital One.
Participation in the program requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location for the duration of your time in the Program in accordance with Capital Ones hybrid working model.

Basic Qualifications
Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelors degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by August 2026 or earlier
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated interest and experience in product management software delivery data science software engineering or leveraging software to solve customer and business problems
Technical major preferred: Computer Science or Management Information Systems. Other STEM or business-related majors encouraged: Business Economics Engineering Mathematics Physics.

As part of the Product Development Program you will:
Gain hands-on experience leveraging new technology while building product management skills in two distinct roles over two years

Participate in Experiential education weeks focused on leadership development challenging strategic problem-solving exercises and extensive networking activities
As an Associate Product Manager at Capital One youll be at the heart of shipping new products and driving innovation on platforms that delight and improve the experiences of our external and internal customers expanding our reach into new spaces and impacting the bottom line on a daily basis. This role will challenge you to understand and manage tradeoffs between customer needs business strategy and technology. You will work closely with expert designers developers business analysts and data scientists in an agile collaborative environment that values your insight encourages you to take on new responsibilities promotes continuous learning and rewards innovation.
In your role you might:
Partner with other product managers to ship scale and improve products that delight our customers and position our company for substantial growth. You will work alongside your product team and learn how to strategically influence product direction and prioritize features actively manage a backlog and clear impediments for the team
Own the success and life cycle of features for your product/platform setting its strategy and driving prioritization decisions toward improvements. You will test and learn your way to something new while taking into account business strategy market analysis user feedback analytics and technology best practices.
Partner with experts to craft and drive long-term business strategy. You will strive to solve the right problems and steer away from the wrong ones by deeply understanding our business developing customer empathy and integrating multiple streams of data.
Collaborate with internal partners. You will rally your team to deliver your vision while participating in relevant governance and risk forums and building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Engage with your network of developers designers analysts data scientists customers and other subject-matter experts and leverage them to build cutting-edge products.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago IL: $99000 - $99000 for Associate Product ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
