Job Description

The Chevrolet Sales Floor Manager is responsible for leading motivating and supervising the sales floor team to achieve volume and gross objectives while delivering exceptional customer experience. This role actively engages with customers supports the sales team in closing deals and ensures showroom readiness to maximize sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership

  • Supervise daily activities on the sales floor to maintain productivity and customer engagement.
  • Coach train and develop sales consultants in product knowledge sales process and closing techniques.
  • Support sales team during customer interactions test drives and negotiations to facilitate deal closures.
  • Lead daily and weekly sales meetings to review goals performance and processes.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure each guest is greeted promptly and professionally on the showroom floor.
  • Assist with customer concerns or escalations to resolve issues and maintain dealership reputation.
  • Maintain a customer-focused environment to encourage repeat and referral business.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure the sales floor is clean organized and inventory is presented professionally.
  • Monitor showroom traffic follow-up processes and CRM activities to maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Track and report on daily sales activities appointments and progress toward goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Chevrolet sales processes and dealership policies.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Desk Manager to structure deals and appraise trade-ins.
  • Collaborate with the General Sales Manager to align floor activities with dealership objectives.
  • Coordinate with the BDC team for appointment setting and customer follow-up.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle objections and assist in closing deals.
  • High energy with a visible engaging presence on the sales floor.
  • Proficiency with CRM DMS and showroom traffic management tools.
  • Solid understanding of the Chevrolet product lineup and current incentives.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of automotive sales or sales leadership experience preferably within a Chevrolet or GM dealership.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean record.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.

Performance Indicators

  • Units sold per salesperson and total floor volume.
  • Gross profit targets and CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores.
  • Showroom traffic conversion rates.
  • Staff development and retention metrics.
