Description

The Senior Lecturer will contribute to teaching research and academic leadership in the Bachelor of Arts prioritising Gender Studies Political Science and/or Sociology but open to other disciplines.

About the Role:

The overall purpose of the role is to make significant contributions to the teaching effort in arts and humanities disciplines and to contribute to the College through academicrelevant administrative research and engagement activities. A teaching and research academic at this level is also expected to play a role in scholarshipresearch and/orprofessional activities.

The senior lecturer will design and teach units including online and preparatory material as well as convene units of study. The successful applicant will be required to perform administration and leadership expected at this level and have supervisory responsibilities for some staff.

This is a full-time continuing position (Teaching and Research) at Academic Level C $134005 - $154514 plus 17% superannuation working 36.75 (1 FTE) hours per week.

A PhD qualification is required for this position.

Preference will be given to applicantswith current or recent experience in higher education. The ideal candidate will value student-centred approaches to learning and compassionately support students from diverse backgrounds to achieve their goals.
