Job Description

Pay Grade/Pay Range:Minimum: $53500 - Midpoint: $66900 (Salaried E8)

Department/Organization:504191 - Housing Custodial

Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; Occasional weekends and evenings required

Job Summary:The Manager of Custodial Services ensures buildings and facilities receive the highest quality custodial services. Communicates with customers. Coordinates staff equipment specialty crews and other maintenance departments. Plans schedules trains and manages services to the University community. Ensures that campus facilities are clean and available for use on a daily basis. Supervises Custodial Supervisors which involves direct and indirect responsibilities of interviewing selecting training and evaluating performance.

Required Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and eight (8) years of custodial experience to include four (4) years in a supervisory role with custodial services; OR associates degree and six (6) years of custodial experience to include four (4) years in a supervisory role with custodial services; OR bachelors degree and four (4) years of experience in a supervisory role with custodial services; OR masters degree and two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role with custodial services.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.

Must have valid U.S. drivers license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
