Job Description
- Vehicle Inspection:Thoroughly inspect used vehicles to identify mechanical electrical and cosmetic issues.
- Repair and Maintenance:Perform necessary repairs and maintenance including engine transmission electrical steering suspension braking and air conditioning systems.
- Body Work:Repair or replace damaged body parts such as bumpers fenders and panels and perform necessary painting.
- Parts Management:Order and receive necessary parts for repairs ensuring they are correct and available when needed.
- Quality Control:Ensure all work meets dealership and manufacturer standards and that the vehicle is ready for sale.
- Documentation:Maintain records of repairs and inspections.
- Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Communication:Communicate with service advisors managers and other team members regarding vehicle status and repairs.
- Technical Skills:Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic and repair skills.
- Experience:Automotive technician experience is often preferred with some roles requiring specific certifications like ASE.
- Attention to Detail:Thoroughness in inspections and repairs is essential.
- Problem-Solving:Ability to diagnose and resolve complex vehicle issues.
- Communication Skills:Ability to explain technical information to non-technical individuals.
- Physical Stamina:Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Valid Drivers License:Required for test driving and moving vehicles.
