The Role:
bestchance Child Family Care is currently seeking an exceptional individual with a positive and proactive approach to join our passionate and supportive team at the Armstrong Creek East Childrens Centre.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Cook to support the nutritional needs of the children in the centre.
Job Details:
Armstrong Creek East Childrens Centre
Location: 46-70 Central Boulevard Armstrong Creek VIC 3217
Total Hours: 37.5 hours
You will stand out if you:
- have experience in planning and providing appropriate meals for young children
- demonstrated experience in cooking and in providing meals for a large number of people/children at one time
- demonstrated ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with staff and other stakeholders from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds
- an ability to support parents and children in their differing dietary and cultural needs
In addition to the above you will need the following to be considered for this role:
- completed an approved Food Handling qualification
- hold a valid Employee Working with Children Check
- successfully completed Protecting Children Mandatory reporting and other obligations for the Early Childhood Sector training
- have a well-developed understanding of the National Quality Standards and National Regulations
- demonstrated knowledge of hygiene and food handling techniques as required in the OH&S Act 2004 and the Food Act 1984
