Job Description
Viwinco is seeking a Materials Operations Supervisor to lead and support our material logistics operations team. This individual will supervise daily material movement activities promote a safe and efficient working environment and help optimize inventory and logistics processes to support our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and assist with material movement and logistics across the facility.
Maintain a safe work environment including ensuring all Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) operators follow company policies and safety regulations.
Support production through inventory control shipping and receiving and materials storage activities.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure on-time delivery and support production timelines.
Ensure the accuracy of the perpetual inventory system and support monthly and year-end physical inventory counts.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve material flow issues and implement process improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in materials control logistics or warehouse operations.
Manage and train Material Handlers across manufacturing departments.
Strong understanding and application of lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent organizational planning and time management skills.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook) and inventory reporting systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment.
Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
Administer disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policy.
Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
Regularly required to move around the manufacturing floor and warehouse areas.
