Role Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings and access points.
- Control access to the site by visitors and employees following established protocols.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies notifying the appropriate authorities.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to guests as needed.
- Document daily activities and any incidents in clear and concise reports.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients and staff.
- Conduct initial investigations of any reported incidents or suspicious activities.
- Implement crisis management protocols in emergency situations.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
- Enforce rules and regulations established by the company.
- Collaborate with law enforcement as needed during incidents.
- Conduct security checks of the property and perform inspections of employees and visitors.
- Provide training and guidance to junior security personnel.
- Participate in security meetings and training sessions to enhance skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security management is a plus.
- Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Familiarity with safety and security equipment including CCTV systems.
- Ability to operate security equipment and identify risks.
- Strong knowledge of public safety and security procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and protocols effectively.
- Proficient in report writing and documentation procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform patrol duties.
- Strong attention to detail with good observational skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Background check and vetting may be required.
