Job Description
Position: Network Architect (On-site)
Location: Lawrenceville GA Must be local to GA or within EST/CST; 100 F2F at client site
Availability: MonFri 8 AM5 PM (No overtime; after-hours only for emergencies)
Role Overview
Were seeking a seasoned Network Architect to design implement and optimize enterprise-scale network infrastructure. Youll ensure the network is reliable secure and scalable working closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and document a comprehensive LAN WAN WLAN and VPN architecture
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather network requirements and define objectives
- Design end-to-end network solutions aligned with business needs and future growth
- Develop architecture diagrams documentation and implementation specs
- Recommend and configure hardware software protocols and security controls
- Implement routers switches firewalls load balancers VPNs and encryption
- Monitor network performance conduct optimizations and ensure high uptime
- Troubleshoot network issues in collaboration with IT teams
- Stay current on emerging networking technologies and best practices
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years overall experience in IT networking
- 4 years dedicated to designing LAN/WAN in medium-to-large environments
Preferred Skills & Credentials
- Bachelors in CS IT or related field (Masters preferred)
- Previous role as Network Architect or equivalent 10 years)
- Deep technical knowledge: TCP/IP BGP OSPF MPLS VLANs VPNs
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Juniper PaloAlto Networks Arista
- Strong network security background (firewalls IDS/IPS VPNs)
- Familiar with monitoring tools: Wireshark Nagios SolarWinds etc.
- Excellent problem-solving analytical and documentation skills
- Effective communicator capable of translating technical concepts
- Certifications desirable: CCNP JNCIP CISSP
