About the Role:
We are currently seeking two reliable and hardworking Yard Operatives to join our team in a busy well-established hardware store located in Callan Co. Kilkenny. This is a hands-on role that involves maintaining the yard handling building materials and providing top-notch service to trade and retail customers.
A valid forklift license is essential for this role and experience in a similar environment is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating forklifts to load/unload deliveries and assist customers
Picking and preparing customer orders
Receiving and checking deliveries
Keeping the yard clean safe and well-organised
Assisting customers with loading materials into their vehicles
Adhering to all health & safety procedures
Reporting damaged or missing stock to supervisors
Requirements:
Valid forklift license (essential)
Previous experience in a builders yard or hardware store (preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced physically demanding environment
Strong customer service and communication skills
Punctual dependable and a good team player
Basic computer literacy an advantage
Working Hours:
Monday to Saturday (5-day week on a rota basis)
Overtime may be available during peak periods
