Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Architect IV to support the development and documentation of System Security Plans (SSPs) for enterprise applications and third-party suppliers. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with COV SEC530 and NIST 800-53 security frameworks.
The ideal candidate will be adept at conducting in-depth interviews analyzing control responses identifying compliance gaps and drafting detailed documentation to meet regulatory and enterprise security standards. Prior experience as a Security Control Assessor (SCA) is a strong advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development and authorship of System Security Plans (SSPs) for internal systems and external suppliers
Conduct interviews with business unit representatives and system owners to collect technical and process details
Analyze and evaluate security control responses; document findings risks and necessary remediations
Ensure adherence to COV SEC530 and NIST 800-53 control requirements
Document system security architecture risk mitigation strategies and vulnerability assessments
Provide security consultation to stakeholders and support compliance initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally with IT cybersecurity compliance and vendor management teams
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Senior-level IT security experience 7 years
Security architecture design & implementation with strong experience writing System Security Plans (SSPs) and conducting security assessments 5 years
Compliance & regulatory knowledge including in-depth understanding of NIST 800-53 COV SEC530 and related frameworks 4 years
Strong experience collaborating across business and technical teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
