Under general direction the Clinical Pharmacist performs professional pharmaceutical duties in drug education and utilization counsels patients on drug usage educates health care personnel on drug utilization and may compound drugs and dispense medicines in a clinical pharmacy. The 2454 Clinical Pharmacist also performs other related duties as assigned.
Nature of positions: Positions are located throughout the Department of Public Health including Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG) Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center (LHH) Community Primary Care and Mental Health Clinics as well as San Francisco County Jails. Some positions may require employees to work directly with individuals within locked jails and psychiatric facilities the homeless population and/or individuals who have or are carriers of infectious/communicable diseases.

Minimum Qualifications
License: Requires possession of a valid Registered Pharmacist license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy. (Please attach a copy of license);
One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2000 hours (2000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week).

Selection Procedures
Minimum Qualification Supplemental Questionnaire (Weight: Qualifying): Applicants may be required to complete a Minimum Qualification Supplemental Questionnaire (MQSQ) at any point in the recruitment process. The MQSQ will be emailed to the email address listed on the applicants online job application. Applicants must complete and submit the MQSQ as directed in the time frame indicated to continue in the recruitment process. This MQSQ is designed to obtain specific information regarding an applicants experience in relation to the Minimum Qualifications for this position. All statements made on MQSQ are subject to verification and must be consistent with the online application.
Training and Experience Evaluation (Weight: 100%): Candidates will be email a Training and Experience Evaluation Supplemental Questionnaire at any point in the recruitment process. The Supplemental Questionnaire is designed to measure knowledge skills and/or abilities in job related areas that have been identified as critical for satisfactory performance in this position. All relevant experience education and/or training must be on the application in order to be reviewed in the scoring process. Candidate responses on the Supplemental Questionnaire cannot be changed once submitted. Candidates will be places on the eligible list in rank order according to their final score on the Supplemental Questionnaire. The department may administer additional position-specific selection procedures to make final hiring decisions.
Language Proficiency Exam: For positions requiring bilingual fluency candidates deemed qualified who meet the special language condition must pass a departmentally approved language proficiency exam prior to appointment. Only those eligible candidates who pass the bilingual proficiency test will be considered for the bilingual position. Applicants must indicate on the application form the language(s) in which they claim proficiency.
Certification: The certification rule for the eligible list resulting from this examination will be theRule of the List.
Eligible List/Score Report: Once you pass the exam you will be placed onto an eligible list and given a score and a rank. For more information visit names will remain on the list for a maximum period of 12 months. Candidates that are not selected and expire off the list may re-apply.
