- Supervise a small team of engineers and technicians.
- Typically assume the role of Project Engineer on projects of various sizes with the potential to act as a Design Engineer on larger more complex projects.
- Responsible for delivering work within the agreed fee with the Project Manager.
- Core responsibilities include:
- Delivering tasks on time and within the agreed fee.
- Ensuring task profitability and quality.
- Preparing client/project proposals.
- Presenting to clients.
- Negotiating fee proposals and requesting additional fees when possible.
- Building project teams using internal and external resources.
- Procuring project resources and planning projects.
- Achieving 95% chargeable time.
4) Company Role
- Understand the companys business plan mission statement and key challenges.
- Contribute to the development of company procedures by actively participating in task groups.
- Attend team meetings and actively engage in the development of team procedures.
- Review and provide feedback on company procedures through the feedback system.
- Apply policies relating to health & safety quality and training.
5) Engineering Function
- Agree on design philosophy and fundamentals.
- Review and comment on deliverables from Engineers & Technicians at key stages of a project.
- Demonstrate comprehensive technical competence.
- Possess knowledge of concept design buildability detailed design construction techniques procurement routes risk assessments and claim assessments.
- Have knowledge of analytical concepts.
- Responsible for Quality Management (QA) within the team.
- Be familiar with CAD standards and 3D working.
6) HSEQ Responsibilities
- Understand implement and follow WME HSEQ policies.
- Implement and coordinate HSEQ procedures in the workplace.
- Report any HSEQ incidents immediately to the WME HSEQ Department and legal authorities if necessary.
- Comply with Client/Contractor HSEQ requirements and complete site inductions before mobilizing to sites.
