We now have an opportunity available in the role of People Manager Engineering & Safety in our People Team. The People Manager Engineering and Safety is a key HR generalist role supporting a geographically dispersed Engineering and Safety teams across Australia New Zealand and Southeast Asia. This position is responsible for partnering with the Engineering & Safety team to deliver the people aspects of their business plan.  The position ensures initiatives and actions are developed and delivered in a timely disciplined and effective manner to assist and enable the group to achieve strategic objectives.  This position requires conceptual and analytical thinking to practically and pragmatically address multiple challenges issues and opportunities in a fast-paced operational environment. 

As People Manager Engineering & Safety your focus will include: 

  • Building deep relationships with Engineering Safety and Operational leaders advising on performance structure culture and workforce planning. 
  • Leading the delivery of annual people processesperformance reviews remuneration reviews talent planning succession and development. 
  • Providing strategic advice and risk management support around people-related issues. 
  • Acting as the voice of your business unit in shaping people policies and initiatives. 
  • Partnering with other People team functions to deliver consistent and high-impact outcomes. 
  • Travelling as required to support operational teams and key initiatives across regions. 

 
Were searching for someone who has: 

  • A tertiary qualification in HR or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications desirable). 
  • Comprehensive experience in a generalist operational HR role within a dynamic and operationally complex organisation 
  • Proven commercial acumen with strong influencing and stakeholder management capability. 
  • Confidence in navigating case management performance management employment law and change programs. 
  • Courage and credibility to challenge and coach senior leaders. 
  • Ability to juggle competing demands while staying focused on strategic delivery. 
  • Strong working knowledge of performance management disciplinary processes and employment legislation 
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and high work volumes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
