Certified Medication Aid (CMA)
We are seeking a passionate Certified Medication Aid to support children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities at our Residential Facility.
Current open position: PART-TIME
- 5AM-5PM - Every other weekend every other holiday required
Wage: Starting at $20.25-21.50 / hour
- $2/hour differential for hours worked between 2PM-10PM
- $3/hour differential for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday
Responsibilities:
Accurately administer medications and treatments following established protocols.
Support residents with mobility needs during care tasks.
Monitor and maintain medication and supply inventory.
Record medication administration and treatments promptly and correctly.
Observe and report changes in resident health or safety to nursing staff.
Follow procedures during emergencies and routine care tasks.
Assist with transporting residents to appointments when needed.
Protect resident privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance.
Provide hands-on assistance with resident care as required.
Complete additional duties or shift coverage as assigned.
Requirements:
- Free of a conviction or prior employment history of child or resident abuse or dependent adult abuse.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Certification as a medication aide in the state of Iowa.
Pay is based on experience education and any previous loyalty to H&D.
Offer contingent upon the succressful completetion of a criminal background check dependernt adult and child abuse background check and drug screen.
