Job Description
Senior Project Engineer - Structural
Los Angeles or San Diego CA In-Office w/ Remote Fridays
$107000 - $115000/year Full-Time Relocation Support Available

HireNow Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Project Engineer to help drive innovative engineering solutions for high-profile commercial institutional and healthcare buildings across California. If youre a highly skilled engineer with a passion for building design and structural integrity this is your chance to make a lasting impact.
What Youll Be Doing:

Lead design efforts for large-scale projects featuring steel and concrete (Type I) construction

Collaborate with architects consultants and BIM designers to ensure efficient coordination
-
Oversee and perform structural calculations detailing and system development
-
Support seismic evaluations and retrofitting projects including ASCE 41 compliance
-
Attend client and project meetings to present solutions and guide execution
-
Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers on the team
-
Ensure all designs meet current building codes and project specifications
Who Were Looking For:
-
7-10 years of building design experience in the U.S.
-
Masters degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited U.S. university
-
Strong background with concrete and steel structures (Type I construction)
-
Solid understanding of seismic design principles and California codes
-
Experience across a range of structural materials and systems
-
Proficiency coordinating with architectural and engineering teams
-
U.S. work authorization required
Preferred (but not required):
-
California SE License
-
Familiarity with DSA and HCAI/OSHPD standards
-
Background in healthcare aviation institutional or high-rise projects
-
Team leadership and mentoring experience

Base salary: $107120 - $115440 depending on experience
