Schedule Options:
-8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Rotating Weekends)
-12:00 PM - 8:30 PM or 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Mon-Fri No Weekends)
Hourly Pay Range:
- Minimum: $32.91/hr
- Midpoint (10 yrs): $41.14/hr
- Maximum: $45.25/hr
Shift Differentials:
- Evenings: $2.00/hr
- Weekends: $2.00/hr
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15000
Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated RN Case Manager for the Observation Unit who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on managing patient care transitions ensuring appropriate utilization of resources and driving effective discharge planning. The ideal candidate will have strong InterQual experience excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to support patients through the observation phase of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply InterQual criteria and the 2-Midnight Rule for observation case review and management
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to assess plan and expedite care transitions
- Identify and address barriers to progression and escalate unresolved issues
- Refer patients with complex discharge needs to social workers or inpatient case managers
- Promote quality outcomes patient throughput and cost-effective care
- Provide education and advocate for patients healthcare needs and resources
- Maintain documentation and communication with stakeholders involved in patient care
Qualifications:
- Active Florida RN License or compact license (must obtain FL license within 60 days)
- BLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- At least 1 year of recent Case Management experience required
- Strong InterQual proficiency required
- Utilization review experience preferred
- Insurance company case management background welcomed
