Join a national team of 9 Partners and 25 team members who are committed to supporting your development in the dynamic field of Tax Controversy.
About the Role
Our Tax Controversy and Dispute Resolution national team comprises over 30 lawyers with diverse in-depth knowledge and experience of federal and state tax reviews audits and litigation.
Our aim is to help our clients prevent efficiently manage and favourably resolve tax audits and disputes. This ranges from:
assisting clients in analysing and producing evidence to the ATO in the course of reviews and audits
producing detailed submissions during audit and objection processes
running tax litigation in the Federal Court High Court Administrative Review Tribunal and various state courts.
Join our team based in Melbourne working within a broader national team on the most cutting edge issues involving an exceptional client base of large multinationals and sophisticated privately held groups.
Youll help solve complex problems by demonstrating the following attributes:
law degree with strong academics
admitted lawyer or otherwise currently undertaking Practical Legal Training
0-3 years experience in tax disputes (other tax or disputes teams also considered)
Together with your team-based mentality and your ability to work collaboratively with colleagues clients Counsel and revenue authorities you will display strong communication and presentation skills.
Having a strong ability to understand critically analyse and apply the law with a high level of rigor and detail.
You will act with integrity and display genuine care for the people you work with.
