A Brief Overview

Provides prompt and courteous food service to provide quality meals to patients employees and visitors. Also ensures accurate cash control of cafeteria monies to help maintain accurate accounting.

What you will do

  • Provides menu for the noon meal to make staff patients and visitors aware of options.
  • Prepares and maintains serving line and salad bar to ensure a quality product.
  • Monitors and records temperatures to ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards.
  • Guides customers efficiently and politely through the dining experience to ensure a positive experience.
  • Maintains the system of sales makes change accurately and efficiently and balances till to accurately reflect the activity of the department.
  • Provides the leader with input as to customer acceptance of menu items and/or combinations and make suggestions for new items.
  • Monitors supplies daily and advises manager of any needs as to ensure smooth service.
  • Properly sanitizes work surfaces equipment vending areas and cafeteria as to ensure compliance with industry standards.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others hear understand and distinguish speech and other sounds. These requirements and those listed above are representative of the knowledge skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions. Preferred Education License/Certification or Work Experience:

  • Less than 1 year Cash register experience
