Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Director for our ECHO (Emotional & Communication Health Outreach) program within the School of Education & Health Sciences. Empowering Children with Hope and Opportunity (ECHO) provides mental health and social work services in Catholic schools. ECHO staff assist in removing non-academic barriers to learning. ECHO staff work with students every day in their schools they gain valuable insights build relationships with children and families and effectively provide counseling and social work services. The primary goal is to establish and support a healthy learning environment in each classroom so that children are unencumbered by the stresses of everyday life and are able to focus and learn.

TThe ECHO Assistant Director will assist the ECHO Director with day to day operations of the ECHO Program. This position will provide clinical supervision to ECHO staff and provide professional development. The Assistant Director will oversee placement of student interns. This position will onboard/train all new employees regarding paperwork and ECHO procedures. The Assistant Director will coordinate summer counseling services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters degree in mental health counseling social work or related field Licensure in the state of Ohio: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or License
Independent Social Worker (LISW) with a supervisory endorsement
Minimum of 5 years mental health treatment experience with school age children
Experience working with diverse populations
3 years experience in clinical supervision
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Expressed willingness to engage with Marianist principles and traditions

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Mental health counseling experience in K-12 school setting
Knowledge of and experience with Catholic schools and their culture
Demonstrated successful experience working independently and productively
Demonstrated successful experience building and maintaining relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
5 years experience in clinical supervision
3 years experience in the ECHO program
Professional-level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word PowerPoint) and Google suite (Sheets Docs Drive Calendar)
