Job Description
EMPLOYER: Halliburton Energy Services Inc.
Job Title: Field Professional - General L&P Seismic
Job Location: 719 Hanger Drive New Iberia LA 70560
Duties:
Responsibilities include: Apply expert knowledge of Halliburtons Seismic logging products and technology to provide technical and operational expertise to external customer; responsible for pre-job planning job
execution post job analysis and overall performance of company assets on most complex projects; actively participate in the training and development of operators and Associate Field Professionals in areas of
expertise; promote and ensure compliance with Health Safety and Environment (HSE) and Service Quality (SQ) standards practices and guidelines. Domestic travel required 35% of the time.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Engineering Geology Physics or related field and 4 years of in the job offered or in a Field Professional - General L&P Seismic-related occupation. In lieu of a Bachelors degree in Engineering Science or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Field Professional - General L&P Seismic-related occupation employer will accept 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a Field Professional General L&P seismic-related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
- Experience in field logging operations to achieve formation evaluation and petrophysical property evaluation.
- Experience with foundational mechanical skills in hydraulics pneumatics pressure rotating equipment pulley systems and bearings and aptitude to apply foundational skills in hands on experience. Usage or knowledge of hydraulic systems troubleshooting issues related to said system leak detection in hydraulic/pneumatics systems and knowledge of forces as related to systems listed above.
- Experience with foundational electrical skills in electronics theory and distributed electricity and aptitude to apply foundational skills in hands on experience. Experience of circuits Ohms Law and ability to read electrical meters for resistance voltage and capacitance.
- Experience troubleshooting issues using foundational mechanical and electrical skills.
- Experience with checkshots Vertical Seismic Profile and 3D VSP and salt
