The Child Development Division (CDD) within the Department for Children and Families (DCF) is hiring a Data Analytics and Information Administrator. This position is responsible for the day-to-day functions and operations of CDDs data unit and leads CDDs work on data analysis and reporting. Key responsibilities include:
Providing oversight of the data units three process and performance analysts.
Collaborating in the development maintenance and implementation of the Child Development Division Information System (CDDIS). CDD is currently in the process of implementing its second CDDIS module which supports our Child Care Licensing and Credentialing Unit.
Acting as a leader within the division including as a member of CDDs extended leadership team and within CDDs Operations Unit.
Fostering constructive relationships with external partners.
Representing CDD in collaborations with a variety of state agencies outside research and analytical consultants and policy makers as requested by CDDs Director of Operations.
Leading and supporting the development of data-driven reports including legislative reports.
A successful candidate must:
Have a deep understanding of best practices for data and information operations.
Posses strong analytical skills for working with complex databases.
Have experience visualizing and presenting analytical results for a wide variety of audiences.
Be able to manage and support multiple projects simultaneously and proactively sequence next steps for each projects completion.
Knowledge of the development and use of business/data intelligence tools to engage with multiple and complex data sets.
Be familiar with databases (including MS Access) SQL and statistical software.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite specifically excel.
CDDIS utilizes a Salesforce-based platform; proficiency in Salesforce is preferred.
CDD is housed in the Waterbury State Office Complex (WSOC) in Waterbury Vermont. The Data Analytics and Information Administrator is a hybrid position that works at least one day per week in Waterbury and remotely for up to four days weekly. At any point the hybrid work schedule could change with notification. CDD also occasionally conducts other events on-site-a successful candidate should have a reliable way to get to Waterbury as needed for these activities.

Work is performed in a standard office setting but travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available.
Doctorate degree in data science statistics health care public or business administration health care profession or related field with academic work in statistics and health care-related research AND two (2) years of professional experience in statistical or policy analysis business or public administration or professional report writing.
OR
Masters degree in data science statistics health care public or business administration or related field with academic work in statistics AND four (4) years of professional experience in statistical or policy analysis business or public administration professional report writing and involvement in program and/or policy development.
OR
Bachelors degree in public health health care public or business administration health care professional or related field with academic work in statistics and health care-related research AND six (6) years or more of professional experience in statistical or policy analysis business or public administration professional report writing and involvement in program and/or policy development.
Advanced proficiency in data analytics using statistical packages and database management applications with complex data sets.
Subject matter expertise in the health care delivery systems and experience working with medical administrative data.
Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position.
