Job Description

The State of Montana has a decentralized human resources (HR) system. Each agency is responsible for its own recruitment and selection. Minimum requirements include:

Bachelors degree in business administration Accounting Finance Economics or closely related field.
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible accounting experience.
Preferred knowledge of State Government laws State budgetary process and Legislative process.
Preferred experience with the SABHRS and IBARS.

Duties:
Analyze and research goods and services
Analyze allocate and monitor expenditures and revenues.
Evaluate and monitor contract performance
Maintain accounting ledgers journals registers
Process payments in the state accounting system

Preferred:
Experience in governmental accounting
SABHRS experience

We are looking for a Program Financial Specialist to join our team in the Water Quality Division. The Program Financial Specialist provides financial support to the assigned division. This position must coordinate and communicate with external customers/stakeholders. This position is responsible for specific fiscal duties including budgeting contracting revenue (fee) collection fee rulemaking coordination long range program budgeting/accounting analysis accounts receivable/payables and grant management.
