Job Description
Responsibilities
- Instruct patients/clients in the proper principles of exercise utilizing a variety of media and equipment.
- Demonstrate and maintain the alertness and the physical abilities to act in emergency situations.
- Effective communication skills for accurate concise and organized oral and written skills for report writing and presentation of information to patients and staff.
- Good problem solving skills to identify and prioritize issues in responsive manner.
- Implement and execute action plan on timely basis and ensure appropriate results as defined by clinicians.
- Active listening reading and comprehension skills for analyzing reports charts and correspondence.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member. Ability to remain flexible with unexpected situations and in a changing work environment.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Degree in Exercise Physiology REQUIRED
- Minimum one year experience in direct patient care
- Certified to perform stress tests
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
- Ability to walk bend stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
- Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records recognize people and provide directions.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
- Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
- Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports charting scheduling daily correspondence and presentations either manually or through use of dictation equipment.
- Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the state range of $26.84 to $33.51 hourlydepending on job-related factors as permitted by applicable law such as level of experience geographic location where the work is performed and/or seniority.
