What Youll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop mechanical system designs including HVAC plumbing and piping systems
- Prepare construction documents including plans sections details and schedules using Revit and AutoCAD
- Perform equipment selection and layout coordination with architectural and structural disciplines
- Assist in load calculations energy modeling inputs and system sizing
- Conduct site visits to gather field data and support construction administration
- Coordinate closely with clients consultants and contractors to support project delivery
- Maintain awareness of project timelines and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
- Support QA/QC processes and implement feedback to improve design accuracy and quality
What You Bring to the Team:
- Associate degree or technical diploma in mechanical design or drafting (bachelors degree in a related field preferred)
- 5 years of mechanical design experience in the AEC industry
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required; familiarity with Navisworks and Bluebeam a plus
- Understanding of mechanical building systems and construction processes
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE NFPA ICC etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Essential Physical Functions:
- Sit/stand at a desk or computer
- Walk stoop stand and move around job sites
- Travel and occasional site visits requiring stooping standing and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent communication via phone video or in-person meetings
- Ability to focus on digital and paper-based information for extended periods
- Some project-based travel may be required
