Job Description

Primary Purpose:To provide clerical support to the administration and the office in relation to discipline.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

  • High school diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets databases and do word processing consistent with school attendance record keeping and office operations
  • Effective organizational communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets databases and do word processing
  • Ability to work well with high school students

Experience:

  • One year preferably student-oriented

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Handle all paperwork/files relating to student discipline referrals/actions.

2. Relay/report janitorial/maintenance needs as requested.

3. Assist assistant principals in scheduling various appointments.

4. Supervise/direct activities of student aides.

5. Maintain and enter student discipline records parking permits detention hall hours student locker information and PEIMS codes regarding applicable disciplines assignments.

6. Monitor maintain and create purchase orders for all inner-office discipline forms.

7. Communicate with parents regarding students or school information.

8. Accurate and consistent use of Red Rover Absence Managment System .

9. Assist counselors with transcripts and grade input.

10. Assist counselors with scheduling appointments.

11. Prepare issue and distribute discipline reports.

12. Assist administrator with discipline audit.

13. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

CTE Duties

  • Assisting the CTE Director and teachers with administrative and clerical suppor
  • Maintaining accurate records for CTE courses student enrollment certifications and program compliance
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders travel requests and supply orders for CTE programs
  • Coordinating with campus and district personnel regarding CTE program needs and schedules


Equipment Used:

Personal computer and peripherals copier fax machine and calculator.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

  • Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer.
  • Maintain emotional control under stress;
  • Work with frequent interruptions.
  • Continuous sitting.
