MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work Study Management
Recruit hire schedule train and approve hours for Gallery Assistants Installation Photographer Graphic Designer and RRR Editorial Team. Troubleshoot coverage of duties as necessary.
Work with RRR Editorial Team during bi-weekly meetings to ensure publication quality and make sure semester editorial and DEIB goals are on track. Provide guidance on editorial choices facilitate connections across the college and provide last editorial passes before works are published
Delegate design tasks to Graphic Designer including RRR Editorial thematic treatments and exhibition signage. Consolidate feedback and provide approvals
Ensure that work study teams hours are on track with annual budget
Front Desk Operations
Ensure implementation of front desk protocols for Campus Gallery and Novack Gallery including:
Artwork safety and media protocols
Visitor safety and interaction protocols
Be present onsite when Work Study students are staffing the galleries to act as supervising staff
Manage receptions public programs and events during and outside gallery hours according to Public Safety & Facilities/Operations agreed upon protocols
Prepare promotional and informational materials e.g. exhibition signage hours posters brochures
Communications
Keep and pages up-to-date through weekly copy decks and other regular contact with MarCom
Attend monthly meetings with MarComs social media team and act as first point of contact for MarCom photographer
Maintain Exhibitions Dept. Portal pages especially Exhibitions Archives landing page Archive and RRR
Update and Maintain website and archive
Gather content for and produce CCA calendar listings for all gallery events and exhibitions plus all programming
Produce and schedule content for @ccaexhibitions Instagram page approximately 5 posts per week
Produce and schedule Exhibitions dept. newsletter with exhibition and event announcements and RRR Volume 5 Issues approximately 2 per month
Prepare and put out calls for grant and exhibition opportunities
Purchasing
Place orders and process payments for gallery supplies and exhibition assets
Work with Faculty Grant Recipients to determine troubleshoot and finalize purchases made with grant money
Prepare gather documents for and process honorarium payments for guest speakers and visiting artists. Track budgets accordingly.
Other
Co-lead PLAySPACE Graduate Student Gallery Program (with Manuel Angeja) including student recruitment and oversight promotional materials deadlines receptions and purchases
Serve on CCAs Voting Coalition
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BFA degree preferred.
Should embrace working in a diverse community of staff faculty and students.
Excellent written and verbal/interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills; competent with multi-tasking prioritizing and sustaining focus amidst frequent interruptions.
Experience with social media and event coordination.
Able to follow directions with minimum oversight and work independently as needed.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and resolve diverse problems.
High level of attention to detail.
Competence in Adobe Creative Suite Google Apps Excel and data entry required.
Preferred Qualifications
1 years of administrative experience at an education or nonprofit organization gallery or other similar environment.
Photography and image editing skills.
Experience creating engaging video and social media content.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The range for this position is $26-$28/hour
CCA offers a comprehensive benefits package including the choice of five medical plans generous holiday sick & vacation time a retirement match and tuition remission. CCA covers an average of 91% of the medical plan cost for the employee only and an average of 82% for employees with dependents. More information can be found here: DETAILS:
CCA considers a full-time work week to be 37.5 hours per week.
