DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the facilities team for a 200k sf manufacturing and executive office location in Santa Clara. This role may also involve oversight and management responsibilities for other Coherent manufacturing office and R&D sites in the Silicon Valley area as well as other facilities throughout the US.
- Manage the facility and support team as well as outside consultants vendors contractors and other resources.
- Develop and implement facility maintenance standards procedures and guidelines including establishing KPIs and document progress against those in regular mgmt. updates.
- Coordinate and develop project specifications estimate cost and resources manage construction activity and oversee schedules and budgets.
- Plan budget and schedule facility modifications including estimates on equipment labor materials and other related costs.
- Responsible for round-the-clock maintenance of facilities physical plant health and safety.
- Manage custodial grounds keeping and site services.
- The successful applicant will also establish annual facility budgets & roadmaps.
- Identify opportunities for savings without sacrificing quality of services or reliability of facilities operation.
- Continuously look for ways to improve optimization of facilities space investment and utilities cost.
- Perform regular risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure continuous efficient operation of facilities.
- Select develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the facilities operation.
Education & Experience
- BS/BA required.
- 10-15 years of experience managing a facilities organization.
- Ideal candidate has semiconductor or laser related industry experience in engineering manufacturing or manufacturing engineering.
- Experienced with developing and implementing building security protocols. Semiconductor fab facilities experience a plus.
Skills
- Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations
- Knowledge of cleanroom environments tool installation and hookups
- Proficiency with Work Order platforms and KPI reporting
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Knowledge of BMS reporting and management solutions
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with multiple contractors simultaneously.
- The candidate must have experience managing a manufacturing facility.
- Candidate must have strong project/construction management leadership and collaboration skills including scope development equipment layout planning RFP development contractor selection construction management to budget and schedule.
- General knowledge of EH&S methods and handling of hazardous and toxic substances.
- Able to execute plans programs and goals motivate and engage the workforce evaluate work accomplishments and provide effective feedback/solutions.
- Ability to deal effectively with differences of opinion to influence to draw ideas from others and to negotiate and mediate.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills and the ability to comprehend and communicate at multiple levels within and outside the organization.
- Skilled at developing relationships and mentoring.
- Set a high standard of ethics professionalism leadership and competency.
- Requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident / Alien status.
Working Conditions
Manufacturing Environment combine with traditional office and cubical space. 2-story building parking lot cafeteria and other spaces used by employees. Possible environmental hazards
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk sit reach bend stoop push pull and lift 50 lbs.
Safety Requirements
