Position: Girls Junior Varsity Golf Coach
Location: Monroe High School
Reports To: Athletic Director

Position Summary:
Monroe High School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to coach the Girls Junior Varsity Golf team. The successful candidate will focus on developing student-athletes fundamental skills promoting teamwork and preparing athletes for advancement to the varsity level. The coach will uphold the standards of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) and Monroe Public Schools fostering a supportive and respectful athletic environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Plan and lead practices that emphasize skill development course strategy and team values.
Coordinate match schedules transportation and communication with families and school staff.
Supervise and support student-athletes in maintaining eligibility attendance and conduct expectations.
Maintain team equipment and uniforms in collaboration with the Athletic Department.
Support the goals and philosophy of the overall golf program and the varsity coaching staff.
Promote sportsmanship academic achievement and personal growth within the team.

Qualifications:

Coaching or competitive experience in golf is preferred.
Ability to teach and reinforce golf fundamentals and course etiquette.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Positive leadership style that encourages athlete development and team unity.
Commitment to following all MHSAA and Monroe Public Schools policies and procedures.
Support of academic achievement and character development among student-athletes.
Ability to work collaboratively with students families school staff and other coaches.

Additional Requirements:

Must meet all MHSAA coaching requirements including CPR certification and background clearance.
Availability for practices matches and team events including evenings and weekends.
Completion of onboarding requirements including fingerprinting and compliance training is required before the start date.
