You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Manager Finance & Risk is a newly created leadership role reporting to the General Manager Strategy & Business Enablement. This role is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of finance enterprise risk privacy and facilities. It plays a critical role in ensuring financial sustainability maintaining regulatory compliance and leading effective risk and investment planning across the organisation.
As SATACs appointed Privacy Officer the Manager Finance & Risk plays a critical role in embedding strong governance and operational frameworks to support compliance risk mitigation and the effective use of financial and physical resources.
Were looking for a hands-on and proactive leader with strong finance credentials (CPA/CA accredited or well on the way) and a background in financial management budgeting and reporting. Youll bring demonstrated success in leading small teams implementing enterprise risk and privacy frameworks and managing external provider relationships. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality reports and papers for our executives and Board will set you up for success in this exciting new role.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage SATACs financial operations including budgeting forecasting reporting and cash flow management.
Lead the development of SATACs annual organisational budget in collaboration with business units and the Executive Team.
Monitor financial performance and provide accurate timely reporting insights and recommendations to the Leadership group.
Develop and implement investment strategies to ensure SATACs long-term financial health.
Prepare high-quality financial papers and investment proposals for the Finance Risk & Audit Committee and the Board.
Operationalise SATACs Risk Management Framework ensuring a culture of risk ownership proactive risk identification and mitigation and regular review and reporting of strategic and operational risks.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation accounting standards taxation obligations and financial policies.
Act as SATACs Privacy Officer and lead the implementation and ongoing management of SATACs Privacy Management Plan.
Lead a small team of Finance and Administration professionals.

SATACs broader role
The South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre limited (SATAC) provides reliable efficient and innovative tertiary admissions services to both its member institutions and on a fee for service basis to other tertiary education institutions in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
SATAC manages centralised application and admissions processes on behalf of its members and clients as well as providing publication and research services and acting as a one-stop service for queries regarding application processes and outcomes.
