Job Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Collaborate with insurance agents to process policy payments and maintain accurate billing records.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist with the preparation for audits and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Provide support for monthly quarterly and annual financial closing processes.
- Maintain organized and updated financial records and documentation.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional tasks as needed.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
Desired Experience
- Previous in an accounting role preferably in the insurance industry.
- Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance issues is a plus.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $20 - $30 per hour
