Senior Network Cloud Security Engineer
Location: Columbia
Duration: 12 Months
Experience Required: 1112 Years
Candidate Location:
- Must be based in South Carolina
- Will consider candidates willing to relocate from Georgia or North Carolina
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Cloud Security Engineer to support the design implementation and maintenance of secure cloud and on-premise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AWS and/or Azure security operations automation and cloud networking along with a strong background in enterprise security tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain secure cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure
- Deploy and configure Palo Alto VM-Series Firewalls in cloud environments
- Integrate and manage cloud security tools like Prisma Cloud Forescout and Cisco Umbrella
- Collaborate with teams on cloud architecture and security automation
- Document security architecture deployment configurations incident responses and standard operating procedures
- Monitor and manage security operations including firewall policies and threat detection
- Perform load balancing and application protection using F5 Networks
- Maintain detailed security and engineering documentation
- Act as a subject matter expert for security audits and compliance reviews
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 11 years of experience in Information Security and Engineering
- 510 years of hands-on experience with cloud security design automation and operations
- Proven experience with AWS or Azure infrastructure design and maintenance
- Strong experience deploying and maintaining Palo Alto VM-Series Firewalls in cloud (AWS & Azure)
- Proficient with:
- Prisma Cloud
- Forescout
- Cisco Umbrella
- F5 Load Balancer and Firewall
- Skilled in documenting technical and operational aspects of security tools and infrastructure
- Excellent troubleshooting incident response and problem-solving skills
Certifications (Must have at least one in each category):
Cloud Certifications (Any One Required):
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100
Security Certifications (Preferred):
- CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional
- Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE)
- PCNSA Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator
- PCNSE Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer
