About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda Kenya Tanzania Rwanda and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client in the manufacturing industry we are looking for competent skilled and experienced Driver and Appliance Installer to work in Uganda.
Job Purpose:
The Driver & Appliance Installer will transport home appliances from the warehouse or showroom to customer locations ensuring products arrive in perfect condition. Additionally they will perform basic installations provide customer guidance on appliance usage and report any service-related issues. This role requires excellent driving skills technical knowledge of appliance installation and strong customer service abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Safe & Efficient Deliveries.
- Transport and deliver home appliances to customer locations on time.
- Ensure safe handling of appliances to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify customer orders and obtain delivery confirmations/signatures.
2. Appliance Installation & Setup.
- Install and set up appliances such as refrigerators washing machines cookers and TVs.
- Ensure proper connection to power water or gas lines as required.
- Perform basic functionality tests to confirm proper operation after installation.
- Provide customers with basic training on appliance use and maintenance.
3. Customer Service & Problem Resolution.
- Interact professionally with customers addressing any questions or concerns.
- Report any installation challenges or customer complaints to the relevant department.
- Assist in resolving minor technical issues during installation.
4. Vehicle Maintenance & Documentation.
- Ensure the delivery vehicle is in good working condition and report any issues.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks including fuel oil and tire pressure.
- Maintain accurate delivery records including mileage logs and service reports.
5. Compliance & Safety.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Follow safety procedures when handling and installing heavy appliances.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after each installation
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
Valid driver s license with a clean driving record.
2 years of experience as a delivery driver preferably in appliance/electronics retail.
Experience in installing and setting up home appliances.
Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing connections for appliances.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy appliances safely.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple deliveries per day.
