Job Description
- Partner with various teams to create forward-thinking scalable solutions that address business needs.
- Lead system design efforts conduct code reviews and ensure ongoing system reliability and compliance with risk protocols.
- Oversee end-to-end project execution including planning development and documentation.
- Respond proactively to production issues with hands-on technical resolution.
- Mentor junior developers and advocate for best development practices and coding standards.
- Keep leadership informed through consistent project status updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in RPG programming within an AS400/iSeries environment is essential.
- Expertise in RPGLE (including free-form and embedded SQL) CLLE DDL DDS and Subfile techniques.
- Solid knowledge of AS400 systems and tools.
- Strong skills in DB2 for i and Query/400.
- Proven experience in maintaining enhancing and supporting legacy and modernized systems.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira ALDON and Visual Studio Code is a plus.
- Previous exposure to financial applications (Core Banking SWIFT Treasury Cards Trade Finance) is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a self-driven analytical mindset.
