Job Description

This is a remote position.

Upskills provides expert financial software consulting to investment banks and leading financial institutions in Asia Pacific Middle East and Europe. With a strong Front to Back expertise in the cash and derivatives markets coupled by an in-depth knowledge of financial markets technologies we provide smart and efficient solutions.
We are seeking Murex Back Office Consultant (Operations) to be based in Canada to work in a client-servicing role to drive one of our client s global system implementations with key responsibilities given as below:

  • Responsible for the utilization of the Murex Methodology/ Model in the confirmation and matching of transactions settlements and payments.
  • Work directly with customers to scope gather review create and implement their business/ functional requirements.
  • Hands-on workflow (MxML) configuration in Murex to manage trade validation confirmation and events.
  • Work with the Murex system and its users to test the implementation achieve signoff (UAT) and continue to move the system toward go-live.
  • Support clients with the development of their own internal project plan including the identification of key setup and configuration tasks scope considerations timeline and scheduling as well as resource requirements.
  • Responsible for training users on basic use of the system new functionality etc.
  • Assist in system integration data migration and implementation.


Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master Degree preferably from Financial Engineering Business Analytics or Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience on workflow configuration/ development in Murex to manage trade validation confirmation and events. Including MxML Exchange trade flows confirmation generation payment flows.
  • Strong knowledge and functional experience on various asset classes. E.g. FX MM IRD EQD.
  • Experience writing functional and business specifications with the ability to map conceptual financial and business elements to practical system capabilities.
  • A strong proven track record of client servicing. Understand customer needs and build effective relationships.
  • Strong time management skills and demonstrable problem solving/analytical skills.
