Job Description

Were looking for a dynamic team player to join our district administration as the Director of Special Education for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This is a full time year round administrative position. This is an exciting opportunity to become a vital part of a small PK-8 district dedicated to providing exceptional educational experiences for all our Director of Special Education youll play a crucial role in coordinating and supervising special services programs and personnel ensuring full compliance with local state and federal guidelines. A unique aspect of this position is also the oversight of programming at Maine Central Institute our semi-private high Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of special education programming and Education budget development and managementSupervision and evaluation of special education staffQualifications:Valid Certificate as Administrator of Special Services (030): This certification is Teaching Experience: At least three (3) years of successful teaching experience in the area of special or Administration Experience (Preferred): At least two (2) years of successful experience in supervision or administration is youre a dedicated and experienced special education professional ready to make a significant impact in a supportive district we encourage you to apply!Position is open until a suitable candidate is selected. Salary commensurate with experience.
