Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer to design develop and maintain ETL workflows using the Ab Initio suite of tools. This role requires strong expertise in data integration data transformation and performance tuning to support enterprise data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Ab Initio GDE Co>Operating System and Metadata Hub with a focus on delivering scalable high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and deploy ETL solutions using Ab Initio GDE EME and Co>Operating System.
Collaborate with data architects analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Perform data profiling cleansing and transformation to support data warehouse and reporting initiatives.
Develop and manage reusable components and frameworks within the Ab Initio ecosystem.
Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs for performance data quality and integrity.
Implement error handling logging and job recovery strategies.
Optimize ETL workflows for scalability and performance.
Maintain and manage metadata using Ab Initio Metadata Hub.
Support production deployment and incident resolution as part of the DevOps/Support team.
Document technical designs unit tests and deployment processes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
4 years of experience in ETL development with Ab Initio tools.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts data modeling and ETL best practices.
Proficiency in SQL (Oracle Teradata or other relational databases).
Experience with Unix/Linux scripting and job scheduling tools (Autosys Control-M etc.).
Familiarity with version control and change management tools (Git Jenkins etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Big Data platforms (Hadoop Spark HDFS).
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).
Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to other ETL tools like Informatica Talend or DataStage.
